SADS UK Annual National Defibrillator Lifesavers Awards

SADS honour people in the community who have saved lives by the prompt use of basic life support skills and applying defibrillation. Professor Douglas Chamberlain a leading light in the world of cardiac emergencies, Dr Jasmeet Soar and Dr Andrew Lockey from the Resuscitation Council (UK) have presented the Lifesaver awards.

SADS UK are proud to have been involved in an excellent CPR & Defibrillator Training event at Hamptons Sport & Leisure Centre on Saturday 16th October 2021 to mark Restart a Heart Day - an annual initiative led by Resuscitation Council UK which aims to increase the number of people surviving out-of hospital cardiac arrests.

Statement from Founder of SADS UK, Anne Jolly MBE. The national cardiac charity SADS UK, set up in honour of my son Ashley Jolly in 1998 has been working for over 10 years to bring in legislation to make defibrillators mandatory in schools; including bringing Early Day Motions and petitions to Parliament.
SADS UK partnership in a lifesaving programme to help improve survival rates after a cardiac arrest is being supported with almost £2.5m over the next three years by the Welsh Government.
