Defibrillator donated to The Crown, Cowley In Memory of Charlie Naughton
In Charlie’s memory Mike Douglas and Peter Hall of Clerik Business Solutions held their 10th charity golf day at Shendish Manor on 24th September 2021. Mike said “When we heard the tragic news of the passing of Charlie Naughton aged just 29, we contacted one of his friends, James Auger to see if we could use this day to specifically support SADS UK and raise funds for a defibrillator to be placed in The Crown, Cowley. James loved the idea and the result was a fantastic day that we won't ever forget.”
Charlie’s death touched many people including Harry Kane, John Terry, Mason Mount and Mark Wright. Charlie’s family are supporting SADS UK.
Karen (Charlie’s Mum) says : Our Darling Boy Charlie Naughton aged 29, suddenly collapsed and passed away on Tuesday 29th June 2021 as Harry Kane scored for England V Germany. As a family we are devastated beyond belief by the sudden loss of our Boy Charlie. Along with Charlie’s loyal friends, the fantastic support of the public and football heroes we would like to give back and raise awareness and funds for SADS UK.
It is so often the case that vibrant young people are taken away so suddenly by SADS and our thoughts continue to be with all of Charlie’s family and friends at such a difficult time.
